Where’s the summer weather?

The girls have been back for almost a week now and it seems as if summer has come and gone.  It was been a little chilly this week and very rainy, hard to do things outside.  We have been trying to enjoy some Fishfly Festival activities between the rain drops.

While the girls were in the UP last week, we repainted and redecorated this bathroom.  I don’t have any “before” pictures but it was a rubber duck theme.  We painted it a light teal color and decorated with lime green and pink.  The three girls were very excited to see it since we wouldn’t tell them what color it was until they got home.  Meredith was very impatient on the way home, she couldn’t wait to see the color (the other girls either but Meredith was the most impatient).

We met my parents in Newberry and stopped at the Tahquamenon Falls.  They were very pretty, Annalyse kept wanting to know when we were going to see the water fountain.

 

I put Annalyse in this empty tree stump, she did not like it one little bit.

On Tuesday night, before the thunder and lightning storm came, we put the girls to work scrubbing off all of the bugs we hit on our way to pick up the three girls.  They most enjoyed using the hose instead of scrubbing!
