This past weekend we made the trek through traffic to Appleton, Wisconsin. According to the maps, it should be a shorter trip there than to our parent's houses in the UP (by about 1 hour) BUT it always takes longer. There is always a lot of traffic on I-94 through MI, Indiana, and Chicago. Once we made it there we had a really fun time. On Friday, while Annette and Justin worked, we went to Wisconsin Dells with my parents. We had a fun time. We did some shopping in the afternoon and then at night Mike, Megan, and myself did a very small waterpark while my parent kept a watchful eye on the busy twins. Megan had a great time, she sure has no fear in her. It was also Mike's first waterpark experience. He had a great time as well and I think he is ready for Noah's Ark. Later in the evening Mike, myself, and the twins headed back to my sister's while Megan and my parents spent the night in the Dells to tackle Noah's Ark in the morning. (I don't have any pictures from the Dells - they are all on my mom's camera).
On Sunday we went boating. We were having a great time, just jumped off the boat and were swimming a little bit (getting ready to go tubing) "When the gales on August came early, on a big lake they call Winnebago!" All of a sudden it stated to thunder and lighten. We hopped on the boat and went to the nearest restaurant for dinner. Fortunately during dinner, the rain stopped. After dinner the ride back to shore should take about 15 minutes and it took well our 90 minutes. Justin did a great job of steering the boat and we all made it back safe and sound and just a little wet. We will see if the twins are intereted in going boating again someday.

We had an awesome weekend too! Love having you guys visit! Hope the twins aren't too traumatized by the rain and waves! Loved the "Edmond Fritzgerald" reference!
Love, A & J
Looks like fun. I can't believe how content the girls are in life jackets. My kids HATE wearing them. I totally feel your pain on the I-94 traffic. I just made that trip last weekend driving to my Grandpa's funeral in South Bend, IN. It was an 11 hour trip. Boo hiss!
