Weekend in Ohio

We had a great weekend in Ohio to celebrate Piper and Rory’s birthdays.  We had a blast at the roller rink for their party, where we worked up a sweat – literally.  It was extremely hot in there!  The girls were getting the hang of skating when it was time to go.  Everyone had a lot of fun, kids and adults.  On Sunday, we went to the movies to see the Smurfs and then the girls did some swimming.

What we have been up to…

Last weekend and the beginning of the week, we accompanied Mike to the west side of the state.  We went to Grand Haven on Saturday and went swimming in Lake Michigan.  The beach was unbelievably busy as you can see from the picture.  The water and the sand were absolutely PERFECT, hate to say it but it was better than Lake Superior.

On Monday, while Mike was working, the girls went to the zoo in Grand Rapids.  We had a great time petting all kinds of animals but it was super duper hot!

We headed home on Tuesday.  On Friday we went to the park with Cristy and Nathan.  I am glad we went early, because once again it was very hot the later it got.
