End of School Year

The end of the school brought the end of the girls going to “Ms. Margaret and Mr. Tony’s”.  Hard to believe that our girls have been going there for 7 school years now.  We bought her a dwarf lilac bush to remember our girls by (it didn’t really make it into the picture though).

Megan also had her last soccer game, there team really improved this season.  Megan had a lot of fun and is all set to play next season.  The twins were all set to play next season but unfortunately they are a little too young, they were very bummed out!

We also went to the annual “Tons of Trucks” event.  The girls were not too interested this year though.  They did enjoy making the silly putty and eating popcorn though.  It may have been the temperature also, it was  in the high 80’s by time we got there.’6.14.11 014

Summer Finally Arrived

Well, it seems like summer has finally arrived in Detroit, although it hasn’t been without rain.  The temperatures were beautiful this weekend, a little muddy and had to work between the rain, but we got a lot of outdoor work in.  On Sunday, we got our flowers and vegetables planted.  When we were shopping for them on Saturday, the three girls wanted to buy all kinds of plants (we didn’t buy too many) but they were certain they would help us plant them all.  Well, they lasted all of a couple of minutes – Megan a little longer than the other two, they were more interested in the water.5.31.11 001 5.31.11 003 5.31.11 004 5.31.11 007 5.31.11 009 5.31.11 010 5.31.11 013 5.31.11 015 5.31.11 017 5.31.11 019 5.31.11 022 5.31.11 026 5.31.11 027 5.31.11 028

Taking a popsicle break, the twins actually wanted one, they only ate a little, but they said they liked them.

On Monday, we went to the New Baltimore Memorial Parade, the parade only lasts a couple of minutes but the girls enjoy it.  Uncle Bob even came for the big parade.  In the afternoon, we went to our neighbors for a pool party, we all came away with a little (or a lot) too much sun.

School is winding down quickly.  8 days for me, 9 for Megan.  Grammy and Papa will be here next week so Megan will be able to sleep in.  The twins will be done with daycare this week, it will be sad to leave Ms. Margaret and Mr. Tony having been there for 7 years!
