Photo Overload
Megan made sure we did not disappoint Grammie this weekend, Grammie requested we put pictures on the blog. Today while we were at the zoo, she kept saying “take our picture for Grammie.”
Saturday, Megan had a soccer game, their team is doing a little better. Megan is doing a little better I think she much prefers gymnastics over soccer. The twins favorite part of soccer games are eating snacks!
Saturday night after dinner we went to Walmart shopping and to buy another bike (thanks to Piper, Rory, and Avalon). I thought there might have been a fight over the new bike but Meredith wants Megan’s little bike so Annalyse got the new bike. Although these pictures look like the middle of the night, they are from about 8 o’clock (it was an overcast day – weekend for that matter). We went for a family bike ride around the block and to the park tonight, the twins did pretty good. Meredith definitely prefers to “sight see and stop and smell the roses,” she likes to see what everyone else in the neighborhood is up to. Annalyse just goes flying along, she has to be reminded to slow down.
Today we went to the zoo (Mike’s spur of the moment idea). We decided to feed the giraffes today. Well, Megan and Mike did, Annalyse and Meredith were a little scared. The weather was pretty overcast the whole day, but the weather held out. It was a nice day to go, good temperature and not too busy.

I made the news!
Fortunately, the news isn’t about me – just involving something that happened after school one day. Ironically, I didn’t even know about it until I watched the news myself. I saw the TV station filming from across the street afterschool so I set the DVR. They show me and Megan’s teacher after school (I am surprised Megan was not on it because she was standing right by us.

Happy Birthday Annalyse and Meredith!
Hard to believe that the twinkies are three years old already! The years sure have flown by! They have mastered so much in even the past few months. They are fully potty trained through the day – we still do pull-ups at night but Meredith would probably be fine without them, they language has gotten so much better, they can spell their names, ride a scooter…
We had a little birthday party at the house for them today with a few friends and neighbors. They partied it up and went with out a nap the whole day – even after waking up at 6:40.

Eggs and More
We sure had a busy but fun-filled weekend. Grammy and Papa Hanner came into town on Thursday night, Auntie Annette and Uncle Justin got in on Friday afternoon and Uncle Bob came Friday night. We stated out the Easter weekend by coloring eggs on Friday. Everyone had a great time, a little egg coloring was spilt but not too bad!
How long does it take for this egg to change colors?
On Saturday, the girls went to an egg hunt at a local church. We went to a really fun carnival last year but I couldn’t find any information on it this year. It wasn’t quite as fun as last year, but we had fun nonetheless. Annalyse is finally getting good at collecting eggs when the Easter season is done.
We celebrated the twins birthdays on Saturday. They had a fun time opening presents and eating cake. Hard to believe they will be three in just a few days! Grammy made the Mickey and Minnie cakes.
The twins woke up at about 7:30 on Easter morning. It didn’t take long for Megan to wake up after she heard the twins awake. Annalyse was very excited about “eggs allover the house.”
Megan found an egg hidden by her new pet. Uncle Bob bought her a goldfish for Easter, she has been asking for one for sometime now (Mike told her she could have one when she was 8). Uncle Bob thought that is she was as persistent as she has been that she deserves it now. (She named her Addy – she made sure that I liked the name so I would help her clean the bowl).
