Always Check Pockets Before Washing

Well, I guess I learned my lesson (the hard way)!  I was doing tonight and I went to get it out of dryer and wondered why the dryer drum had black streaks all over it.  I investigated a little more and found that it was a pen that had gone through the wash.  The good news – it was not my pen (at least I can blame someone else)!  I called trusty mom to see what to do, turns out a book she had said rubbing alcohol was your best bet – well, the kids were in bed and Mike was bowling so I guess that aint happening.  The next load can stay in the washer, the ruined clothes are sitting on the kitchen table soaking in hairspray and the dryer will wait for tomorrow (good thing mom is coming tomorrow – she LOVES to clean!!!!

Hunting for Eggs

This past weekend was busy as we attended 3 egg hunts and Chuckie Cheese. Saturday Morning was the one downtown, then Uncle Bob joined us for the second one in the afternoon at Custard King. Megan and Meredith are egg hunters where Annalyse, not so much. After the second hunt, we all went up to Port Huron because I stole someone's mouse and I had to return it back to the office. Since we were up there, I treated Bob and girls to some games at Chuckie Cheese. OK OK OK, I really wanted to go to play the games, not Bob and the girls. Now I got that off my chest. We ate dinner, headed to Sam's Club and then home. Sunday included another egg hunt in the rain. Annalyse was a little more into it, but not much. Overall, the weekend went well, we signed Megan up for 9 more weeks of gymnastics. She really is doing very well, which she must get that from Alison, as I can barely walk in a straight line.

Easter Bunny

We went to Morley Candy to see the Easter Bunny today. It has become a tradition for the last few years. It was a pretty successful picture, all three girls looking and smiling - can't beat that. They also had free face painting (it was amazing how fast she could paint someones face, it only took her a minute or two for Megan's) and balloon "sculptures." They also had a lot of free samples, so much that Mike even passed some chocolate up at the end.

What else is going on...
Megan is still LOVING gymnastics, she is getting quite good at handstands and cartwheels (maybe she doesn't take after Auntie Annette after all :) She had to miss gymnastics on Thursday, she came sown with teh flu on Wednesday night. I guess I have learned o clean up puke by fire (this was our first experience with kids having the flu in our house - I guess it's not too bad since Megan is almost 6). She went to school on Friday and seemed fine and then she got sick on Friday night again. We had to miss our friend's Lauren birthday party on Saturday. It was at a gymnastics place so I am sure all of the girls would have had a great time. Oh well, some things happen.

The twins are communicating so much more and they are talking clearer, can't think of anything right now but some things they have been saying crack me up - they sure are taking evrything in and are much smarter than we give them credit for. Annalyse can spell her name no problem, Meredith is getiing better and better but still has some problems.

Skating and Snow Fort

Grandma and Grandpa brought the twins back on Thursday. They had a fun time Up North. On Saturday morning, Grammy and Papa got to watch Megan at gymnastics and then Saturday night we went to dinner and then Disney on Ice. The girls loveg the show, they were excited to see the characters. The twins were worried when the different characters were not on the ice at all times.

On Sunday, Mike made a snow fort with teh girls in the front yard. Actually, Mike made the fort and the girls enjoyed it when he was done. But unfortunately, tonight the fort is almost melted.

Before the girls went outside, they had to use the potty - two at a time!
