Well, we have been home for over a week now. The girls have enjoyed playing with their toys and friends. We kept quite busy this week, we took some bike rides, went swimming in the backyard pool, went to the park, Megan took an art class, went shopping for things for Megan’s birthday party, went to the zoo, the beach, and more.
We have a tomato stealer! The black squirrel was a little mad we were not giving him any peanuts so he went and stole an almost ripe tomato, I guess he (or she) taught a lesson!

We went to the zoo on Saturday evening with Bob and Cristy, Mark, and Nathan for a members only event. It was the perfect temperature for a trip to the zoo. The girls LOVE Nathan, hopefully he doesn’t mind them torturing him!
After dinner tonight we headed down to the waterfront beach by our house to the let kids play in the sand, Annalyse has been dying to go to the beach.
Tomorrow night we are having a “backyard campout” birthday party for Megan. The weather is predicted to be good, hopefully no rain for the night in the tent, I may need a nap on Tuesday after sleeping in the tent with 6 girls!

The girls and myself made it safely back from the U.P. on Friday. We made it home in 9 hours and 20 minutes (not too shabby – they reason we made it quickly is because I don’t stop, not even for bathroom breaks… well, we did take one break at the bridge but that was it.) They took naps the last 1 1/2 hour of the trip and woke up about 20 minutes from home so it worked that they slept the time they could have been the most antsy. It is hard to believe that we spent 3 weeks in the U.P., it went by fast. The three girls are enjoying playing with all of they toys that they haven’t really played with since June.
After dinner tonight, we filled up the pool and the girls enjoyed swimming in it (they were a little used to the cold water from Lake Superior :)
