Busy Beginning of June

Last Friday (the 4th) we had Field Day at school.  Megan had a lot of fun doing the activities and spending the last few days with her friends.June 2010 011 June 2010 015 June 2010 019 June 2010 023

Friday night, after the girls were in bed, Grandma and Grandpa Hanner arrived into town.

Saturday morning we went to a program called Tons of Trucks.  They have just about every kind of truck imaginable there for kids to climb in, honk horns, etc.  The girls always enjoy going there.

After Tons of Trucks we headed home for lunch and naps and then headed to our friends Cristy and Mark’s house for their son Nathan’s first birthday party.  Nathan enjoyed having a house full of people but he didn’t care for his cake too much.June 2010 068 June 2010 087 June 2010 100

(Poor Nathan got pulled in his little wagon around his house, they each had to have a turn.  The joys of being surrounded by girls who like to play dolls).

On Sunday, we made a birthday cake for Papa’s birthday – his birthday was Monday but Megan had her concert that night.June 2010 103

Monday night we had Megan’s kindergarten concert at school.  She had a fun time.  The twins also enjoyed watching the signing and also the cookies afterward.

Tuesday night we went to visit Uncle Jerry, he is doing good and really enjoying his place to stay.

Wednesday after school we went to pick strawberries.  The picking was really easy, we were only there for about 20 minutes.  The girls had a great time, Megan enjoyed eating the strawberries, the twins would not even try one!

Memorial Day Weekend

We kept pretty busy all weekend long.  Friday afterschool the girls played in the sprinkler and we had corn and hamburgers.  The girls loved their hamburgers, it was the first time they had one.  All three of the girls LOVE corn on the cob.Memorial Day Weekend 2010 006

Saturday morning we planted our flowers and vegetables.  The girls favorite part was watering the flowers.

We took baths and showers, ate lunch, took naps and then headed to the Tigers games.  It was a beautiful night for a ball game, too bad they lost.

On Sunday, the girls and I met Beth, Piper, Rory, and Avalon at the Toledo Zoo.  It was a hot day (91 degrees when we left).  The girls had a blast together.

When we got home from the zoo, we relaxed a little, took a bike ride, and then had a drive-way fire (sorry you missed it Bob).

We went to the New Baltimore Memorial Day Parade on Monday morning.  The parade is a whole 10 minutes long but the girls enjoyed it.  Our neighbor Logan was in the parade for Boy Scouts so the girls had fun yelling to him (I think they embarrassed him a little).
