Megan started her soccer games on Thursday night. She had one on Thursday night and one Saturday morning. She did really well, especially on Thursday. She was a lot more aggressive on Thursday night than on Saturday. You will be able to tell what pictures are from which day, she had a little biking accident on Friday night and her face is pretty scrapped up. (She had soccer pictures Saturday morning :)- at least the first day of school pictures were done and school pictures are not for another few weeks and surprisingly they do do soccer pictures retakes - we may be doing those.) Saturday she also got a chance to be the goalie for a quarter. She did a really good job (although she did let one go in, she made a few really good stops). Megan is quite exhausted today from her week at school and soccer. I am quite exhausted myself. The twins are going good, it seems they are talking more and more each day. We also got a chance to go visit with Uncle Jerry on Saturday night, I think he enjoyed seeing the kids. Meredith had fun attacking him with a dog toy and he enjoyed scarring her back. Video of Meredith riding her trike, watch how she lifts her feet around the corner - cute!
The verdict is in....Megan LOVED it! I think her very own locker is TOP on her list, although she is excited to eat breakfast in my classroom tomorrow. We are working on her not calling some of my teacher friends by their first names :)
We had a busy weekend of doing not too much! I have been cleaning and doing laundry - getting ready to go back to work. We went to a cider mill on Saturday for some cider and donuts (Megan's request). We didn't go to our "usual" one - we went to a smaller one close to our house - Megan was NOT impressed, she thought it was quite boring. On Sunday night, Mike, Megan, and Bob "camped" out at our friend's mother's house. She lives right on a canal - the twins and I visited for a while but the twins were not listening about staying on the grass so we didn't stay real long. Mike was able to make his deep fried Oreos that he has been waiting to make. They turned out yummy! The kids did a little fishing! We went to the Peach Festival parade today and came home and relaxed for the big day tomorrow! The first day of school for the year! We also talked to Grandma and Papa.
