Weekend Fun

We had a busy weekend of doing not too much! I have been cleaning and doing laundry - getting ready to go back to work. We went to a cider mill on Saturday for some cider and donuts (Megan's request). We didn't go to our "usual" one - we went to a smaller one close to our house - Megan was NOT impressed, she thought it was quite boring. On Sunday night, Mike, Megan, and Bob "camped" out at our friend's mother's house. She lives right on a canal - the twins and I visited for a while but the twins were not listening about staying on the grass so we didn't stay real long.
Mike was able to make his deep fried Oreos that he has been waiting to make. They turned out yummy!

The kids did a little fishing!

We went to the Peach Festival parade today and came home and relaxed for the big day tomorrow! The first day of school for the year!

We also talked to Grandma and Papa.

Do you think they are twins?

When I went to get the twins up from their nap one day this week, this is how the girls were sleeping. They were sleeping the exact same way. (It was hard to get a picture of both of them)
The girls have been doing very well sleeping (staying) in their cribs/beds. I was a little nervous at first, but they proved me wrong. Only once in the last week did I find Annalyse out of her crib (saying na-na-na-na) to Meredith ready to play.

In other, not that exciting, news. Our friend "Nutty" has returned a few times. And yes, we keep feeding our "little pet" peanuts, the little guy needs to store up for the winter.
Auntie Annette - I don't think we have a new title for a book though (If you give a squirrel some peanuts...). I gave him a dish with water in it, but he never touched it.

Megan is getting excited for kindergarten (and coming to my classroom every day). We don't have her first-day outfit officially picked out, we are waiting to see if snow is in the forecast bt then!
She has also been enjoying soccer, her first game is next week. Some people have been asking about her schedule - I will post it on here sometime during the week.
Hard to believe that summer is over and time to go back to work. It sure has been a cold summer!
Have a great week!

Monday Morning Fun

About a week or two ago (while my parents were visting) we had a friendly visitor, a gray squirrel) come to our back door. Megan and I decided he needed a little snack so we feed him a few handfuls of peanuts. It was really cute to watch the way that he ate them. Well, he came back for a visit this morning - so of course, we had to give him some more peanuts!
By the way, Papa and Uncle Justin - they really are kind of cute - you should try feeding them peanuts sometime!

Big Girls

We have some big girls in our house and NO Grammy and Papa, they are not potty-trained!
The sides on their cribs came off yesterday morning. So far (knock on wood) we are 2 for 2 of going to sleep well and staying in their crib/room until we go to get them. We were a little nervous with being two of them and they do like to "tag team" each other into doing things. They keep saying saying "Daddy, oh, oh" - meaning Daddy broke their cribs.

Meredith

Annalyse

On Wednesday, we went to Metro Beach so the kids could play on the palyground and go in the "Squirt Zone." The twins aren't quite into sprinklers yet, especially Meredith and Megan would have enjoyed it more with a friend, but oh, well - worth a try!
