Snow Much Fun

Here are some pictures from today. We had a nice warm January thaw, a day late. Mike and Megan built, or I should say, dug out a tunnel through one of our snow banks.
Everyone is on the mend here. Mike ended up with a sinus infection, but he is doing better.

4 out of 6 = Not Bad, Right?

66.666666666% is usually fairly decent excpet when your talking about the number of infected ears on three kids. Mike took all three girls to the doctors today, he was mainly bringing in Megan but decided to have the twins checked out as well. It turned out that Megan has two ears infected and the twins each have one. That makes three bottles of antibiotics in our house! Not sure what it has been the last few months but we have never had this much sickness in our house. The doctor said it may be allegeries causing Megan's cough and ear infections, I think we will be making an appointment with a specialist, this is her 4th ear infection this school year.

Here are some pictures of the girls painting on Tuesday night:

Sometimes it is just not worth trying to get a "nice" picture of all three girls looking...

Weekly Highlights

Well, Megan and I survived our first week back to school after break and Mike survived another week at home with the twins.
On Sunday night, we took the twins pacifiers away. I just told them that they were big girls and didn't need them. They were sure they could find one in their room and tried their hardest to find one under their cribs. After their stories we put the girls in their cribs and said good-night. Meredith could have cared a less, Annalyse on the other cried for 2 whole hours. Finally around 10pm our house was quite and that was the end of the crying. They have been taking naps and going to sleep at night without even looking for their pacifiers. It was pretty darn easy. I am sure we could have done it sooner but we wanted to wait until we got back from vacation.

No More Pacies!

While Mike and Annalyse were at the chiropractor on Monday night, Meredith, Megan, and myself finished up some Christmas crafts that we had started before leaving for the U.P. As they say, better late than never!

Megan's Grinch and Meredith's Reindeer

One Tuesday, Mike had an interview for a different poistion within Comerica. We are still waiting to hear about the job, hopefully the results will be positive. If he does not get the job, Friday will be his last official day of being employed by Comerica.
The girls went to day care on Tuesday and they had a fun time seeing all of their friends their.
Mike also brought Megan back to the doctors for her ear re-check on Tuesday and the infections were gone so that was good. We found out that after 6 ear infections in one year they refer you to an ENT. I think we must be getting very close!

On Thursday, Mike brought Meredith to the doctors. She had had a high temperature for most of the week and Thursday morning she began to pull her ears so Mike thought it would be best to bring her in. Turns out her ears were fine and she just had a virus that her body needed to fght.

Saturday monring baths

Late in the day Friday until Sunday morning was quite snowy. Megan had a fun time playing outside and Annalyse and Meredith had an okay time. Mike got to try out his new "Yooper Scooper" and he said it saved him quite a bit of time. The girls were also happy to get "scoop rides".

Have a great week and stay warm! Temps are supposed to drop!

Hannah's In the House!

Hannah Montana showed up at our house this morning! She had a great time playing all day long!

In other exciting news, according to Mike, the twins love tomato soup!

End of Vacation

Well, we made it back home. We had a great end of vacation. The last few days brought on sledding in Hancock. The hill was VERY fast! It had warmed up in the latter part of vacation so it made for slick sledding under the few fallen snow. Mike and Megan enjoyed the ride, Meredith actually did as well. After I had flipped out of the sled twice, the two times I went down the hill I had had enough. We also went to Aunt Clara's house on New Year's Day for a delicious ham dinner, it sure was a bummer that Bob could not be there! We also got to see Uncle Keith and Diana, which was nice.
The ride home was interesting. We left at 6am so that we could make it home at a decent time. In the end, we actually made good time but the first 3/4 of the trip the roads were not good! The roads in the northern lower peninsula were horrible! The car in front of us spun out and flipped over in the ditch. To say the least, it was a bit scary! But, we made it home safe and sound! Even in time for Mike to take the girls to Stevie B's with the neighbors while I stayed home to take a shower and started to unpack.
