Carving Out Some Fun!

We spent the evening tonight carving our pumpkins. Megan had a blast and Annalyse and Meredith were intrigued for about 10 minutes. The twins didn't mind playing with the scoops but one quick touch of the "guts" was enough for them.

Fall Fun

We had a nice weekend, the weather could have been a little better but we had good company. My parents and my sister came for a visit this weekend. On Saturday, Megan went and listened to stories at the "Old Stone School" by our house. The kids were supposed to dress up as their favorite superhero or storybook character so Megan dressed up as "Fancy Nancy," she looked pretty cute!:) Then we were off to take some fall pictures, they turned out pretty well, always intresting to get the three kids looking good. Saturday night we went to dinner and then to the "Zoo Boo." The Zoo Boo is always a fun time looking at all the kids in costumes and seeing the "pumpkin animals." Sunday we layed back and played in the leaves and took some pictures of the girls in their Halloween costumes, as the actual day turns out to be quite hectic. Thanks for a great weekend! We had a great weekend and the girls enjoyed spending time with you - Grammy, Papa, and Auntie Annette!

More Photoshop

Photos courtesy of Mike. Wasn't it nice of Mike to buy me the Photoshop program for my birthday so that HE could photoshop photos for me! What a nice husband! I would say something else but he doesn't like the comment so I will have to hold back so that he will do more photos for me!

Weekend Happenings

It was a nice weekend here in Detroit, a little chilly but nice and sunny. On Saturday, we went to visit Uncle Bob in Ann Arbor. A few months ago, he let Megan borrow a cd of children's nature songs. Megan (and Mike and I we must admit) has gotten quite fond of the music and knows most of the songs by heart. The singer Joe Reilly was having a concert at Uncle Bob's work Saturday afternoon, so went there for a fun time. It was a beautiful fall day. Megan enjoyed herself, she stood up with the other kids and sang and danced the whole time. The twins also enjoyed themselves, they ate pretzels and animal crackers through the whole entire thing - at least it kept them entertained.

Today, we did some projects around the house and took out the Halloween decorations. We tried to get some fall pictures of the girls as well.

Nice Weather

Here are some pictures of the girls. It seems like a long time since we posted some pictures. Not much new in the Voakes household, just staying quite busy. Megan is still loving school, although she is disappointed that she doesn't get homework, she says "I guess this is the kind of place that doesn't give homework." The twins have been as busy as ever. Meredith is becoming a better climber everyday, she mastered getting on the couch today all by herself. Meredith also insists on doing the top buckle in her car seat all by herself, she would be a "me do it" if she would talk. She has also mastered doing a sommersault all by herself, maybe she will be the next Nastia Lukion or Shawn Johnson. Annalyse is a very happy, even tempered toddler (well, she will be a toddler in a few weeks). She trys to copy Meredith on her climbing but usually is not as successful as her little sister. The twins are still not talking, they are good at communciating and getting their points across but there are not too many real words. I know Megan was a very advanced talker (and hasn't stopped talking to date) but it was amazing at how much she was saying at this age.
The weather this past week has been great but the weatherman says this coming week will be much cooler. It was actually hot this week. (It was nice in school, I have the maintance man's son in my room this year so he made sure that my air was working.)
Here are some pictures from last weekend! Enjoy!

Here are some pictures for Leslie - Yes, the twins were actually allowed to eat spaghetti by themselves.
